Workshop and classes terms and conditions
Please note that when you book a course you are agreeing to and are bound by our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect the moment they are posted on the website and it is your responsibility to check the terms and conditions each time you use this website and your continued use of the website will signify your acceptance of our latest terms and conditions.
Booking a class
The easiest way to book a class is via email and then pay the deposit via Paypal. Alternatively if you want to pay by cheque, you can put a cheque in the post of the full amount made payable to 'Claire Pavlou' and contact us to save a place for you. Once full payment for a class has been made your place will be booked and you should receive a class confirmation no later than 2 weeks before the course.
Cancellation Policy Refunds
Our bead making classes are very popular and places are limited. If for any reason you need to cancel your place on a course, if we are able to find another student to fill your place then you will be offered a refund minus a 20% admin charge. However if we cannot find someone to fill your place then no refund can be issued. If you are booked on a course and do not turn up on the day then no refund or transfer will be given.
--presently a non-refundable deposit of £20 is charged, remainder to be paid on the day, this will change in the future--
Class Transfers
Once the class is paid, we are unable to transfer the class date should you be unable to attend.
If we cancel a Class
In the unlikely occasion that we need to cancel a course you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date. We will also always give you as much notice as possible but cannot be responsible for pre-booked travel and accommodation arrangements.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are supplied with a 12 month use by date. The vouchers will be printed and sent by post to the purchaser. These vouchers are non-refundable but can be used against goods or tuition up to the value of the voucher, no change will be given.
Liability
Prior to carrying out any tuition with The Molten Pixie, you will be required to sign a waiver of liability. This states that full instruction will be given, but certain hazards are unavoidable when working with glass and flame. Whilst every care is taken to avoid accidents, the student must be aware that they can happen.
Payment for goods
My preferred method of payment is PayPal, you do not need to hold an account with PayPal to use this facility.
Photos and Size
Whilst every effort is made to depict accurately the size and colour of beads and jewellery, please read descriptions carefully! Please note pictures are not shown actual size; due to different monitors and colour resolutions they may look different on your computer. Where an item is offered in a choice of colours, any colours shown may be approximate.
ASHES FOREVER IN GLASS
While every effort is made to meet customer expectations, please note that ashes work can affect the colour of the glass, ashes create bubbles in glass, and this can weaken the structure of the bead. By agreeing to go ahead with the order, you are agreeing that this can happen and the Molten Pixie (Claire Pavlou) cannot be held responsible should a bead break when dropped, banged, etc
I will not be able to work with 'ashes' that are made by any other means than cremation by flame. This is a health and safety requirement to safe guard myself from the toxic fumes these alkaline processes create when put into the flame
Caution
Beads and jewellery contain small parts which are a choke hazard so they are not suitable for small children.
